The South Carolina Track and Cross Country Coaches Association announced a change in SCTCCCA Cross Country Rankings after Hurricane Helene.
The new dates are
First release - Oct. 13 after SCTCCCA Coaches Classic
Second release - Oct. 27
Final release and qualifiers race assignments - Nov. 10
The statement said:
"Coaches,
Due to the affects of Hurricane Helene still being felt in the Upstate, the decision has been made to postpone the release of the SCTCCCA Cross Country Rankings until October 13. The majority of the meets scheduled for this weekend were cancelled and there will be schools that may not be back in school until later in the week. We also had coaches on the committee that still do not have power and need to focus on cleanup efforts.
Thank you for your understanding. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of those that have been affected by the storm.
1st release-October 13 after Coaches Classic, 2nd release-October 27, Final release and Qualifiers race assignments-November 10."
