Avery Belk of James Island won the Providence Cross Country Invitational Invitational girls race in 18 minutes, 48.61 seconds at McAlpine Park in Charlotte, N.C. Belk's time is S.C. no. 5 for the 2024 cross country season. The Trojans won the team title with 37 points.
Fort Mill's Alivia Cleveland traveled to the WNC Cross Country Carnival last weekend to finish second in 18 minutes, 46 seconds - S.C. no. 4.
Fort Mill girls won the championship girls 5000-meter run team competition with 76 points. Heathwood Hall second with 151. Fort Mill (84) girls won the WNC Carnival Invitational Invitational team competition. Riverside (113) was second.

James Tyler of First Baptist is ranked third in South Carolina boys cross country rankings after winning the Pinewood Invitational in 15 minutes, 59.55 seconds. Lucy Beckham's Daniel Huggins finished second (15:59.65).
Fort Mill boys won the championship boys race at WNC Carnival with 81 points. Dorman was second with 118 points.
Fort Mill boys won the invitational team competition with 96 points. Wade Hampton second with 116 points. Greenville Tech Charter rounded out the top three.
