Spring Valley's McDaniel breaks girls shot put record
COLUMBIA -- Spring Valley junior thrower Xylina McDaniel broke the state record in girls shot put with a best of 44 feet, 8 inches. The previous record (44 feet, 7 inches) was set by Ayokka Green (Westside) in 1993.
State meet delayed due to storm, competition resumes at 8 a.m. tomorrow
COLUMBIA -- The SCHSL state meet has been delayed due to inclement weather in the area. The meet will resume tomorrow morning at 8 a.m., meet management told scrunners.com.
